Built to hurt your feelings. Productively.
PitchWright is a tool that scores investor-facing documents — pitch decks, founder updates, landing pages — for the patterns that get them auto-rejected. It runs your text through a hybrid pipeline: rule-based detection of the worst offenders, then an AI overlay for context-dependent calls. You get one score, six dimensions, every flagged phrase highlighted in your text, and a rewrite suggestion for each one.
The premise
Founders marinate in their own Kool-Aid. By the time the deck goes out, “paradigm-shifting” reads like English to them. It doesn't to a VC who's read 4,000 decks this year. We built the tool we wished existed before our worst pitch.
The principles
Brutal, not cruel
We will roast your pitch. We will not roast you. The score is funny because it's about the words, not the founder.
Zero data retention
Pitches are stored under your account so you can revisit and share the score card. We don't train on your text and never share it with third parties.
Hybrid analysis
Rule-based pass for consistency. AI pass for nuance. Founders get a deterministic floor and a smart ceiling.
Free is the product
The free tier is the actual product. Pro adds depth (PDF, rewrites, simulator) — not gates around the basics.
How the score works
We score across six dimensions: buzzword density (tier-1, tier-2, tier-3), claim-to-evidence ratio, vagueness index, passive voice abuse, future-promise inflation, and founder honesty (rewarded, not penalized). Each flagged phrase carries a penalty weighted by severity. We normalize for word count, blend in the AI overlay, and produce one number from 0–100.
